The shrinking stars who insist they don't diet: Abbey, Myleene and Katherine deny counting the calories

To onlookers, their slender frames marked the return of the size zero celebrity.

But a group of female stars who appeared slimmer than ever on the red carpet this week denied that that they have used extreme diets to lose weight.

Katherine Jenkins, Myleene Klass and Abbey Clancy were among those appearing at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday night who stunned onlookers with their slim figures.

TV presenter Myleene Klass, wearing a tiny lace dress from Littlewoods, said that her slender figure was due to looking after her baby daughter.

The 34-year-old said: ‘There are skinnier girls than me here...this is what you get from running after a baby girl who’s just learning to walk.’

Miss Klass has two daughters, one-year-old Hero and Ava, four.
She added: ‘I do eat, I don’t want to set a bad example to my daughters. I think you should always have what you fancy.
‘I think the most important thing is to be happy and healthy.’
Model Abbey Clancy also dispelled suggestions that she had dieted to achieve her slender figure after becoming a mother last year.

The 26-year-old, who gave birth to daughter Sophia Ruby last March, said: ‘Everyone is going on about my weight and I hate it. I’m happy with the way I look.’

The way they were

Miss Clancy, who is married to footballer Peter Crouch, added: ‘I don’t have the exercise machines at home and all those weird things I keep reading about. I’m not on some weird diet.’

Opera star Katherine Jenkins made her first public appearance in the UK after starring in the US version of Strictly Come Dancing.
The classical singer wore a colourful Mary Katrantzou bandeau dress with Jimmy Choo peep-toe heels.

Earlier this month the 5ft 4in singer, formerly a healthy size 10 to 12, admitted that she had dropped to a British size six since appearing on the show in which she finished runner-up.

The 31-year-old, who split from fiancé Gethin Jones earlier this year, was looking notably slimmer on the red carpet.

In a previous interview she admitted that she preferred ‘being curvy’ and said ‘I am a little on the thin side at the moment’.

She added: ‘I’m eating anything and everything to put on weight.
Yesterday, I ate two massive salads with chips and chocolate cake and ice cream and a pizza. I haven’t had a good roast dinner in ages and I really miss beans on toast.’

'She would be amazing!' Rihanna wants to see Cheryl Cole replace Jennifer Lopez on American Idol

Cheryl Cole has denied that she is reportedly being lined up to be the fourth judge on American Idol.

But Rihanna thinks that Cheryl, 28, should reconsider replacing Jennifer Lopez on the hit show.
The Where Have You Been singer told the Daily Star: 'I can completely see why the producers at American Idol are trying to get Cheryl - she would be amazing.'

Rihanna also hit out at Simon Cowell's decision to fire the pop star from the first series of his talent contest in the United States.
'She was received so well on the US X Factor and most people couldn't really understand the decision to let her go.' Rihanna continued.

Strength to strength: Rihanna thinks Cheryl has got what it takes to break America now
Cheryl and Jennifer both appear in the new motion picture What To Expect When You're Expecting and Rihanna believes that the Girls Aloud star could soon rival the42-year-old performer's star status.
Rihanna added: 'Since [the X Factor] she has gone from strength to strength, and is fast becoming a movie star over here.
'I don't know if Jennifer plans to stay another season or not but Cheryl would be a great replacement for her. The only thing Cheryl needs to consider is that it's so time-consuming.'
Cheryl - who was famously axed from the US version of The X Factor  last year after just four episodes - was said to be wanted by producers of the show to join Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler on the panel.
Producers had reportedly made Cheryl a multi-million dollar offer to join the show - the direct rival of The X Factor USA.
But she has thoroughly denied the rumours saying there is 'no truth to it' whatsoever.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: 'It will be interesting to see how Jennifer Lopez deals with another beautiful woman sitting alongside her.'

It was also claimed that the former Girls Aloud band member, could actually replace Jennifer, who has recently hinted she may quit the show after two years on the panel.

The mother-of-two told the Ellen DeGeneres show; 'Now this is my second year - I don't know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things.
'It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they're getting more mobile, they're about to go into school ... so I just don't know.'

Bosses were said to be willing to pay Cheryl in the region of $5m to $10m, compared to Jennifer's $15m to $20m.
Cheryl - who worked on the UK X Factor for three series, with her acts winning twice - was dumped from the US X Factor by boss Simon Cowell after he claimed she didn't look comfortable in her new role.

She was replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, who was axed by Simon after the first series.
Should the deal with Cheryl have gone through then it would have been a direct swipe by American Idol creator Simon Fuller against his longtime rival Simon Cowell and his X Factor creation.

They are famously tight-lipped about their relationship.
But it seems that being in France together has left Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson feeling romantic.
While they usually won’t be seen smooching up a storm in public, the couple last night made an exception and were spotted indulging in a rare PDA.

Robert, 26, and 22-year-old Kristen were partying at Les Marches club in Cannes following the premiere of Kristen’s new movie On The Road at the International Film Festival.

After the success of the evening, the pair certainly had something to celebrate and leaned in to share a tender kiss.
They showed their devotion to one another as they kept their heads close together and looked longingly into each other’s eyes.
