'You’ll never see me on the street in a tracksuit or Ugg boots': Victoria Beckham on how she won't let style standards slip

She has transformed herself into a fashion icon, now dressing A-list friends Cameron Diaz and Eva Longoria in her own designs.
But although even the most stylish of people sometimes let their standards slip, Victoria Beckham is adamant she'll never be seen in public in anything but her best.
The former Spice Girl has declared that she'll never be caught stepping out in a tracksuit like some stars often do because she is far too fashion conscious.

And she's also banned herself from donning Ugg boots anywhere other than the safety of her own home.
In an interview with French fashion magazine Madame Figaro this month, Victoria states: 'You’ll never see me on the street in a tracksuit. I just love fashion too much to wear a tracksuit!
'The same goes for Ugg boots. I only wear them only at home.'

But Victoria appears to have forgotten she has previously been snapped in those exact garments.
In early 2010 she emerged from a building in Los Angeles in a grey pair of joggers - but she did shield her face from onlookers to ensure she didn't get caught fully in the casual get-up.
The 37-year-old did, however, ensure she demonstrated her style sense by shooting not one, but two covers for Madame Figaro.
On one cover the singer-turned-fashion-designer is seen wearing a coral Prada Spring 2012 bodysuit with a flower patterned print.
It's a different look for the star, with shorter wavy locks making her look more girly compared to her current long sleek cut.
In the other image, Victoria smoulders as she goes for a black leather halterneck dress from Alexander Wang.

And inside the covers Victoria also shows off her impeccable style, wearing items from her own line, Lanvin and Hakaan.
Her petite figure and toned legs are on show as she wears a black dress with neon green heels.
While in other images she is seen in a number of her other frocks from her own range.
Mrs Beckham also takes the opportunity to discuss her fashion know-how.
While she's adamant she'll never walk out in a tracksuit, Victoria reveals she is a big fan of Prada.
'I’m addicted to Prada, to cardigans and bags Hermes...
'I’d love to see the world through the eyes of Miuccia Prada! The woman is a genius. Her vision is of ultra-intelligent fashion. Each season, she creates something new, she knows how to surprise.'

Spotted: Victoria was seen just two years ago wearing tracksuit bottoms - although she clearly didn't want to be seen in them!
And she applauds Kate Bosworth and Clemence Poesy on their own style tastes, while revealing she'd most like to dress Tilda Swinton.
Victoria praises the actress for her confident dress sense and admits: 'I would like to design clothes for her.'
David Beckham's wife also reveals what she does in her down time when her three sons and baby daughter are in bed - she shops on line.
Victoria has revealed she is a big fan of Net-A-Porter.com and spends hours searching the site for new goods.
She reveals: 'I am a big fan of Net-A-Porter.com. When the kids are asleep, I can travel on this site for several hours.
'I like the idea of quietly shopping at home for clothes and returning them if it don’t work. This is absolute freedom.'
