Just your average (hit) girl: Chloe Moretz enjoys family day in Los Angeles as she joins mom and brother for lunch

She was pictured last month shooting stunts for the follow-up to 2010 cult favourite Kick-Ass.
But on Tuesday Chloe Moretz was just your average 15-year-old girl.
The actress enjoyed a sunny day in Los Angeles with her mother, Terri, and her older brother, Trevor.

The family went out for sushi in West Hollywood, and Chloe seemed to be in good spirits as she flashed a smile to photographers.

The budding starlet wore dark denim jeans with a black lace top and edgy, worn boots.

She carried an oversized green and teal Miu Miu handbag that resembled her mother's large burgundy purse.

Terri Moretz was polished and put together in dark denim, a button down shirt and sweater, paired with ballet flats.

Meanwhile Trevor wore jeans, sneakers and a short-sleeved button down.

The two often accompany Chloe on shoots, and it appears the family are very tight-knit since moving to L.A. for the actress' career in 2004.

Since then, the teenager has become a hot commodity in Hollywood - with seven films already slated for release next year, and at least one release booked for 2015, according to iMDB.

That includes Kick-Ass 2, in which Chloe will reprise her superhero role as Hit-Girl.

The film, currently in post-production, was still filming early last month. On set shots showed the star twirling her nunchucks around as she fought off a couple of goons in an exciting action sequence.

The Hugo star donned her character's trademark purple wig and eye mask as she tussled with the stuntmen for the cameras.

Scottish comics writer Mark Millar wrote the comic that is the basis for the new sequel, which is written and directed by Jeff Wadlow and co-produced by the first film's maker Matthew Vaughn.

A big name addition to the cast is Jim Carrey, who will be playing a character named Colonel Stars and Stripes.

If it closely follows the plot of the comic, the celluloid version will document Kick-Ass's attempts to to form a team of real life superheroes so he can defeat his arch-rival The Red Mist; who gathering a team of supervillains of his own to finally defeat both Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl.

English actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson will also reprise his role as the film's titular character in the eagerly awaited movie.

Also on Chloe's plate next year will be her highly-anticipated role in Carrie, a remake of the 1976 film starring Sissy Spacek.

The actress in October promised that this Carrie would be a complete departure from the role Spacek made famous.

'I’m doing my own take on [the character],' she told Vanity Fair magazine.

'The script is totally different from the [original]. It’s more like the book. It’s a more Black Swan version - it messes with your mind. You’ll see things, and you don’t know if you’ve seen them,' she said.
