Our Christmas gift has arrived early!' Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott announces she's pregnant with her first child


Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott is pregnant with her first child.
The 26-year-old singer announced the baby news on her Twitter account on Friday.
'Chris & I are excited to announce that our Christmas gift has arrived a little early this year! We are having a BABY!' she wrote, referring to her husband, drummer Chris Tyrrell.

'We feel so blessed!!!' she added.
The announcement comes 11 months after the couple wed in upstate New York.
Scott and Tyrrell met in college but didn't start dating until they reconnected on Tim McGraw's 2010 tour, where they were booked as opening acts.
The couple became engaged on July 4, 2011.

Scott revealed details of the romantic proposal to People magazine last year.
She gushed: 'Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed.
'Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee.
'We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!'

She said of her husband shortly after their January 7 nuptials: 'Everything is brighter. Everything has a deeper meaning. He makes me feel more comfortable in my own skin.'
Scott and Tyrrell, who are based in Nashville, also added to their family this summer.
