The women switched lives for a week for the ABC show, with Kate looking after the former Playboy model's three-year-old son, Hank Jr, and Kendra looking after the reality star's eight-year-old sextuplets and 12-year-old twins.
Author Robert Hoffman claims Kate's children were not communicated with during the transition, leaving them 'scared and very confused', according to RadarOnline.

Much like the network's hit show Wife Swap, the series sees stars trading homes and diving into each other's lives.
Gosselin stayed with Wilkinson's husband, former football star Hank Baskett, and the couple's three-year-old son; meanwhile, Wilkinson managed Gosselin's single-monther household, taking care of her brood.
Hoffman, the author of a new Ebook slamming reality TV mom, Gosselin, claims shoot has had disastrous affects.

According to Hoffman, the children 'were instructed not to speak a word about it to anyone at school or anywhere else'.
MailOnline has contacted Gosselin's spokesman for comment.
The episode of Celebrity Wife Swap featuring the families is scheduled to air on February 26.
